Greetings!  Work on the next color picture resumes tomorrow, but in the meantime, I've borrowed my friend's scanner and decided to make decent scans of my earlier, more complex black and white works (the better ones, anyway).

From late 2000 to 2003, and briefly in 2009, I did a lot of pictures that were drawn and shaded by hand with complex backgrounds and detailed shading.  Up until 2003, I actually had some level of free-time where I could immerse myself into my drawings and in three years time, I was actually happy with what I was creating.  But, as life would have it, I had to stop and help take care of my mom, who was diagnosed with Pulminary Fibrosis back in Nov.2003, which took priority of my art.  Sadly, she passed away in 2008 and for nearly 5 years, my time was limited to line drawings.  Color and Black and Whites were pretty much not an option.

Another problem with my pics back then was my images were sized for ancient dial-up modems and rarely exceeded 100k in memory and were about 72dpi so they were tiny compared to what I rescanned them today at, which was 500dpi to 600dpi.

I created a new folder for the better shaded pictures and the crappier ones will languish at their old resolution and here's the link to the new folder: simpspin.deviantart.com/galler…

With lots of love...

I'd love to make new shaded work, but I'd have to rebuy a lot of my old pencils and find the time. Some of these pics took over 60 hours to complete over 2 weeks! :o

Some of your shaded drawings (well, every drawing IMO) are really incredible. I hope you'll have more free time someday, I would love to see new shaded pictures =)

Will your next color picture be that Futurama one that crashed after 20 hours of work ?

Max, this Futurama pic is about 90 percent complete. It's been kicking my ass in how much detail I've had to pour into it...ahhh!!!

I hope to have it done by tuesday.

Next up after that, Felecia grown up in a different type of art style. :)
