Quick note, "Maggie and Eric" turns 14 today!

I won't have any new pics up till next week, though.  :(  But thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years!

Jake.

BTW, this is the oldest pic I have with Homer, Marge, Maggie and Eric together..

I think it's still a great idea for a series after all these years. X3

14 years! wow!
What I like about fan-art the most it's stories. You've created a lot of great stories in these 14 years. Congratulations =) Your stories have touched some people's hearts, and this is the most important thing in my opinion.
Through I'm not the one who support you over the years, I also wanna say "Thank you, and keep up your great work!" I hope to see more stories =)

ps
Actually, for a long time I wanted ask you about changing one thing in your story. This is the case of Lisa and Maggie.

You're welcome, and thanks for the words of support. :thumb99577517: I will keep doing pics and stories as my time permits. :)

As for the strained relationship between Maggie and Lisa, when Maggie gets out of the awkward period of her life because she's too old to be a little kid, yet not old enough to be an adult, she'll realize Lisa is the older sister who'll be a role model into womanhood. I've never drawn Lisa and Maggie older, so who is to say they can't be like sisters who truly care about each other in a few years? :)

Well I actually wanted ask you don't leave this scenario only to the our imagination ;) You've drew MANY drawings with the same plot - Maggie hates Lisa. But this line of hatred lasts for years! I think it's time to change something in their relationship, create a new story instead old one. New stories could bring new inspiration, From this you can start a new stage in the art!

And why years? Why not one year for example? Usualy you draw Maggie when she 13 (and hate Lisa)
Everything can change when Maggie turns 14. Think of some catalyst which bring peace and friendship to Lisa and Maggie.
I mean, really enough of hatred =( I looked at all these pics and I feel so sorry for Lisa. She did nothing bad to Maggie, and this is not her fault that Maggie is SO envious. I read Generations and sometime I just hated Maggie! She was so unfairly evil with Lisa.
Find something new for them, please.

You and Max have both given me a lot to reconsider...

I must say I don't agree with you. The Maggie/Lisa current relationship is a key point in Jake's spinoff. Everything can't be happy in his world. In my opinion, the hatred between Lisa and Maggie is not, as you think, something that can be easily solved ... I feel bad for Lisa too, but I also feel bad for Maggie. Both suffer because of that relationship, and I believe it brings emotion and realism in the story. In Simpsons Generations, the reconciliation part was truly brilliant and well done, but it is also (if I'm not mistaken) non-canon and I think it's better like this.

I'm glad, but I have my own opinion about the story. And first of all I don't think it's better like that. I've explained why. Changes - that is life. I believe that a change - it's always better than standing still. And it's time for some changes.
I DON'T feel sorry for Maggie. Why should I? She acting childish and she envious. Why should I feel sorry? This behavior makes me (me, not someone else) hate her. I don't want hate Maggie, I believe that Maggie is a good girl.

To address both points:

Maggie being a jerk to Lisa isn't the most pleasant scenario to show how they relate to each other, and YES I did draw (no pun intended) too much attention to it and it won't be a central focus of anything I draw for a very long time. And while Maggie won't be as hate filled as she once was, maybe it is time to make her a bit more tolerant of Lisa instead of harboring a "Get lost, I hate you!" attitude.

Max and Viktoria, you are both right, Maggie having a running grudge is more emotionally resonant, but since I put too much attention on Maggie's hostility, it makes her look like a whiny punk.

And there is a scene, if I can ever draw it, in Generations 3 that addresses the Maggie and Lisa relationship that's a downright moving moment that I'd like to see happen and it would bring sense of completion to this debate.

Well, I just wanted to add two things : I don't think you put too much attention on this (even if it's not for me to judge), and since Maggie, after all, is only 13, I find pretty normal that she can act childish, envious, and look like a whiny punk.

Anyway, thank you both for this debate and these answers =)

wow 14 years, I hope your going to be around for a few more years before you quit. Eric and Maggie and Eric are awesome. I also would like to see the third part of Simpsons Generations, when you can. Thank you and please keep up with your good work.

I doubt I'll "quit" no matter how frustrated I become, but the good news is if I ever become the way I was at the beginning of the month, I'll just step away for a while till I'm better.

As for part 3, the sheer amount of time I'd have to put in to make the story end the way I want is simply mind boggling, so I might make part 3 a full-on, teamed up story. :)

Oh my God I'm so stupid I completely forgot about the anniversary and at the moment I'm typing it's already the 17th of March in France >_< I'm very glad to see that you don't find that 14th anniversary depressing anymore ! I hope you'll continue at least for a few years, and draw the third part of Simpsons Generations when you can =P

Thank you for all your beautiful work, I'll always support you. <3
